Sanyo: onze accufabrieken draaien straks voluit

Sanyo's twee nieuwe fabrieken voor lithium-ion-accu's voor auto's hoeven zich over werk geen zorgen te maken. Volgens het Japanse elektronicaconcern is de orderportefeuille volledig gevuld, maar met wiens orders is niet bekend.
Opvolgen:
Op dit moment staat Sanyo, samen met concurrent en landgenoot GS Yuasa, flink in de plus op de Japanse Nikkei. De vraag komt volgens Reuters van fabrikanten uit de VS, Europa en Japan zelf. De enige autofabrikant die zijn samenwerking met Sanyo openbaar heeft gemaakt, is Volkswagen.
Sanyo's Executive Vice President Mitsuru Homma voorziet een groei van 25 procent in de vraag naar batterijen voor auto's tot 2015, en zelfs 40 procent tot 2020.
